Phone Numbers at Burnsville Family Physicians
We have an automated telephone system. Our goal is to answer each incoming call, however, this is not always possible. If no one is available to take your call, they are helping another patient. In this case, you will be directed to our voice mail system. Please listen carefully to the message, as it does vary by the department you are calling. It is important for all voice messages that you leave your full name (please spell your last name) as well as your date of birth. This is important when there may be several people in our system with the same name. Please leave a number where you can be reached, and when you are available, as well as a short message explaining your need. If possible, we can then do research prior to returning your call, saving you time. Voice mail messages are retrieved in a timely manner throughout the day. Your calls are very important to us, and we will return your call just as soon as possible. We have voice mail messaging available in the following departments:
- Business office
- Clinical support
- Prescription refill
We have an "on-call" physician available to assist you during non-business hours. If you need to speak to a physician when the clinic is closed, please call (952) 435-0303. You will be directed to a voice mail message, which will ask you to enter in your 10-digit callback number. This number is forwarded via pager to the "on-call" physician, and he or she will call you back within a short period of time. If you have not received a callback within ten (10) minutes, please call and leave your message again.
In Case of Emergency
If you have a life threatening circumstance, please do not leave a message, please hang up and dial 911, or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency department.
