COVID-19: Patient Safety Message

At Burnsville Family Physicians, the health and safety of our patients and staff is always our number one priority. With this in mind, we are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.  In addition to staying in constant contact with the Minnesota Department of Health, we are staying up-to-date with the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).

  • In an effort to keep everyone safe, we are asking patients experiencing illness symptoms to wear a mask when visiting our clinic.

  • We will continue taking extra precautions to provide the safest environment possible for our patients and staff.  For any questions about your appointment, please call 952-435-0303.

The steps to protect yourself from COVID-19 are generally the same as those for the flu:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

  • Avoid close contact with sick people.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a household cleaning spray or wipe.

For information on prevention, symptoms and what to do if you’re feeling sick, please call the Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 Hotline at 651-201-3920.

What's New

Claire Rathburn's Last Day is 12/20/22

"I wanted to inform you that my last day at Burnsville Family Physicians will be December 20, 2022.  The reason for my departure is two-fold.  Some of you may know that my father was a general surgeon and I have always had a passion for performing surgical procedures.  I did my elective rotation in vascular surgery, and have decided to pursue my passion for surgery by moving to a field of medicine called interventional radiology. This is a medical sub-specialty of radiology utilizing minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases.

Additionally, many of you know I have two young children and have decided to reduce my hours to focus on my relationships with my children and provide the care they will need during these pivotal years of development.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work at Burnsville Family Physicians for the last 10 years.  I feel privileged that you have put your trust and faith in my care and it has been an honor to be a part of your care team.

It is very important to me that you maintain continuous health care.  Please be assured that my fellow Burnsville Family Physician providers will be available to assume your care with the level of compassion and knowledge that you have received from me."

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the clinic at 952-435-0328.
